Calhoun Square, originally constructed in 1984 and redeveloped between 2010 and 2012, is an urban retail center consisting of a 170,521 square foot enclosed mall, and a 729-stall parking ramp, located in the heart of the Uptown neighborhood in Minneapolis. The project is a new addition to the Ackerberg portfolio. In the past ten years, the property has witnessed three turnovers in ownership and six turnovers in property management—each team offering a different vision of how the property should evolve. As a result, Ackerberg had the opportunity to bring the property back to its roots as an urban retail center.
