ACKERBERG is pleased to announce that they have acquired and begun construction on a mixed-use, 50-unit, apartment community with 4,000 square feet of first floor retail in the heart of Downtown Rochester. Ackerberg is entering a new market as this is their first project outside of the Twin Cities and in Rochester.
The project is located on the corner of 1st Avenue and 4th Street SW in the heart of Downtown Rochester. The pedestrian-friendly community has a 95 WalkScore and is a short walk from the Mayo Clinic campus and Rochester skyway system, the downtown nightlife, grocery store and the Zumbro River.
The apartment units will have 475 square foot studios, 575 – 600 square foot one bedrooms, and 700 – 900 square foot two-bedrooms. Apartment finishes will be top-of-market. Building amenities will likely include a sixth-floor rooftop patio, community room, coffee bar, fitness center, package room and covered parking.
Construction is expected to be completed in June of 2020.
The project was designed by Momentum Architectural Group and the general contractor is Weis Builders.
