The Lincoln Del building, redeveloped in 2007 is an adaptive reuse of its existing structure. The development incorporates a number of sustainable features into the plan for the building including energy efficient lighting, water saving fixtures, low VOC finishes to promote better indoor air quality, and a white roof to reduce heat island effect. Our Developers worked with the Minnehaha Watershed District to incorporate Best Management Practices to improve the quality and reduce the quantity of storm water leaving the site. Additionally, 75% of scrap metals and waste material from the project were recycled.
In addition to The Ackerberg Group as developer and contractor, architecture services were provided by LHB Corporation. Ackerberg selected LHB because of their thoughtful approach to urban infill projects and their long standing commitment to sustainable building practices.
